Can we get a password lock and encrypted wallet seed?
#1
Hi, I was looking at how to backup my seed. I see that it is saved on the computer in plain text. Also there is no password to start the wallet program. This is a security issue.

Can we get a password lock and encrypted wallet seed?

If the program needs to read our wallet seed frequently, then perhaps the program can be told to use a winzip type file container, with a password that we input.

E.g. when making a new wallet, the sky program asks us to set a password. Then it encrypts our password, but knows what is needed to input before we access the wallet.
And then the program makes a winzip file to put our wallet and seed info inside. But it sets the same password on the winzip file.

That way the seed words are safe inside the winzip file, which the program or anyone can only open if they input the password.

i believe it is being worked on atm.

in the meantime, just install wallet, disconnect from the internet, generate/save seed, delete wallet.
