That works! Thank you. Startup script updated on the Windows Node Tutorial 

If connecting to a node doesn't work the first time, click the search icon again. The connected node should be there. Now just click the "connect" button to force a connection. If you have a virus scanner running, it might scan the socks executable first

I'm having the same issue, even with the new address.

Which ports need to be opened to the Master/Main node?

That address is down at the moment. Some time in the next few hours a new Discovery address will be relased and it will be the offical one for the testnet
