What you need to do on the 21st-22nd!
#1
NOTE: If anyone was following the Raspberry pi guide and has NOT applied for the white-list. It would be a good idea to rebuild your pi's with the updated images here: https://skywug.net/forum/Thread-Raspberr...TNET-READY !!!!IF YOU HAVE ALLREADY APPLIED DO NOT DO THIS AS IT WILL WIPE YOUR KEY AND MAKE YOUR WHITELIST APPLICATION NULL AND VOID!!!!!!

Its Time!!
https://medium.com/@Skycoinproject/skywi...c7bca63597

There will be a software update for the Skywire software. You will need this update to participate in the white list. If your using Orange Pi's and using the official images you will have to reflash your SD cards. You will find the images at the bottom of the page here https://github.com/skycoin/skywire/blob/.../README.md They will be updated some time on the 22nd.

The official Images for the Orange Pi Primes are up and running!

For everyone else running DIY's you will have to SSH into your miners and do these commands:

Code:
cd $GOPATH/src/github.com/skycoin/skywire
git reset --hard
git clean -f -d
git pull origin master
cd $GOPATH/src/github.com/skycoin/skywire/cmd
go install -v ./...

The new Discovery address is :
Code:
discovery.skycoin.net:5999-034b1cd4ebad163e457fb805b3ba43779958bba49f2c5e1e8b062482904bacdb68

To start connecting to your newly updated device you should be able to start it with

Code:
cd $GOPATH/bin
nohup ./manager -web-dir ${GOPATH}/src/github.com/skycoin/skywire/static/skywire-manager > /dev/null 2>&1 &sleep 3

nohup ./node -connect-manager -manager-address ManagersIPAddress:5998 -manager-web ManagersIPAddress:8000 -discovery-address discovery.skycoin.net:5999-034b1cd4ebad163e457fb805b3ba43779958bba49f2c5e1e8b062482904bacdb68  -address :5000 -web-port :6001 > /dev/null 2>&1 &cd /

For Example:
Code:
nohup ./node -connect-manager -manager-address 192.168.0.101:5998 -manager-web 192.168.0.101:8000 -discovery-address discovery.skycoin.net:5999-034b1cd4ebad163e457fb805b3ba43779958bba49f2c5e1e8b062482904bacdb68  -address :5000 -web-port :6001 > /dev/null 2>&1 &cd /

Once your node is up to date, double check your public keys and you can begin your whitelisting process: https://www.skycoin.net/whitelist/

This processes is available from Now untill the 31st of May 2018 and the first batch of whitelisted public keys will be released on the 1st of June 2018.

Best of luck and may your whitelisting and application go smoothly.

Hi, if I am using raspberry pi, can I still use the image on the GitHub link? Thanks!

Yes, once the update goes through some time tomorrow that command will pull the new software. If you have not already set up a Pi any of the above tutorials will work to get your pi running the software. The commands here are just for Pi's already running the skywire software and are waiting on the update.

Will these updates keep the original keys from the pi's the same, or do new keys get put on the pi's after updating?

By default you will keep your original addresses and keys. That will only change if you delete your .skywire folder in your home directory. So no it wont affect it.

In the instructions do we reflash linux on the pi board? Or are we just updating the latest version of skywire?

So if I understood from the instructions:
- We need to keep our nodes running since white list submission (as part of the whitelisting is for you to check how long the nodes are running, how they behave, etc, right?)
- If we follow the instructions and we see our nodes online in the manager monitor, what's the chance of something wrong, hidden, in our side? => Is there any way between DIY guys to check that our nodes are behaving as expected, like trying to connect to each other for testing purposes?

Also, the white list form shows a popup message confirming submission, but the form remains afterwards with all the info, including the pictures. I would expect it to reset and clean up => There is no way to actual confirm the submission was right (like an email notification) and you may end up with repeated submissions in your side as the form doesn't clear up.

I set up yesterday (23rd May) using 8 x PI 3b+ following this tutorial: https://skywug.net/forum/Thread-Raspberr...-for-noobs

Will I be up to date or do I have to do anything more? Thanks.

PS. Also is there any way to check your white list application progress or confirm that it has been received? My browser was playing up when I submitted but I think it went through ok.

Following on from the above it looks like the startmanager and startsecond files contain the old discovery address. So I have manualy changed all these and rebooted. Seems to be working fine but should I do anything else?
